Melissa Harding is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter/actress.
Melissa began singing at age 9, and has studied voice extensively since. She is a classically trained singer and accomplished in a variety of styles, including pop, rock, musical theater, jazz, blues, and country. For over a decade, she vocal directed for "Belasco Theater Company" and currently runs a successful private voice teaching business originally based out of Los Angeles. Melissa spent a majority of 2016 out on the road touring with Sixx:A.M. as a back-up singer and vocal coach for lead singer, James Michael. She did backing vocals for both of the bands 2016 albums "Prayers for the Damned" and "Prayers for the Blessed," as well as traveling with the band singing on their world tour. Following her work with Sixx:A.M., she continued her work as a session singer in Los Angeles, as well as appearing as a guest vocalist in events throughout the country.
Melissa is currently writing the book and score for her first original musical. She debuted her first one woman solo Cabaret in 2019 at Feinsteins at Vitellos, "Sing For My Soul: The Songs That Shaped Me." She and pianist Charlie Dolph plan to develop the Cabaret into a series, featuring other Los Angeles actors and singers with a variety of musical styles and storytelling. The final two Cabaret dates at Feinstein's will be Saturday Oct. 5th, and Saturday Dec. 7th. Ticket links coming soon!
Melissa has also partnered with Charlie on a new jazz vocal duo, singing all your favorite standards for events all over - they are currently accepting booking requests for dates in 2020. Please see the "booking" page to request a specific date for your event.
